Project #2

This was my original idea for the masonic lodge.  It was to be set into the ground in a more suburban site.  I thought it was getting at the idea of have to go through a lot to attain a goal.  It didn't really get that.  I liked the shape initially, but that went away once dealing with the angle came into play.  Also trying to break the symmetrical-ness of it.

This is may new site.  I decided to bring it more into town to attempt to make it a little more welcoming to the community to learn more about it.  I chose t put it on a empty corner that is on the edge of the historic district to complete 4 corners.

This is my new plan that I feel works better functionally, but also speaks more of what I am trying to achieve.  Keeping the ritual room up on the third floor to keep the people that shouldn't be there out.  The 1st floor are spaces that could be used as meeting spaces for the public if needed.  Also the test/mock-up space is actually sunken below street level and at the moment outside.  The entire structure is raised 4ft above street level on pillars.
